The Minor in Professional Writing in the Department of Writing Studies will teach you to use writing to make change in the world. It will prepare you to write and research in contemporary professional genres, both on and beyond the page, such as proposals, grants, white papers, websites, videos, podcasts, and social media. Courses will help you practice communicating with different communities and stakeholders and harness new writing technologies, including artificial intelligence. You will learn to attend to unique rhetorical situations while strategically navigating complex social, cultural, and technological considerations.
