The Department of Writing Studies hosts the Writing Center. The Writing Center offers one-on-one assistance with all types of writing concerns. We can help at any stage of the writing process, from brainstorming to final revisions. The Writing Center also advises and offers support to faculty in all disciplines. We serve the entire University of Miami community, including undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and staff.
How we work: We offer consultations online or in person at the Richter Library on the Coral Gables Campus.
We also offer specialized consultations for faculty, supporting both their own writing—including projects like grants, articles, and writing with AI—and their teaching with writing, such as integrating AI into instruction and developing a Writing Enriched Curriculum.
